Engineering Manager, Platform (AI)

Location: Hybrid, onsite 4 days per week in San Francisco, CA

Salary: $217,000–$260,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, grow, and recruit Platform Engineers, Fullstack Engineers, and SREs.
• Own the reliability and operational health of production systems powering hirify.global Cloud, hirify.global Flex, and hirify.global Agents.
• Define the platform roadmap across infrastructure, CI/CD, deployment automation, observability, internal tooling, and platform product surfaces.
• Drive adoption of AI-powered workflows for debugging, release validation, infrastructure management, and developer productivity.
• Lead incident response, run blameless postmortems, and ensure systemic fixes reduce recurring failures and operational toil.
• Balance engineering velocity, customer-facing reliability, technical debt, and long-term architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, or Developer Productivity organizations.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and distributed systems.
• Experience operating production systems at scale and making platform decisions based on customer impact.
• Excellent communication skills for translating platform strategy to product, design, and business leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted engineering workflows or agentic software development.
• Experience building internal developer platforms.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience with data infrastructure, ETL/ELT, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience contributing to open-source engineering organizations or familiarity with hirify.global and connector ecosystems.
