Customer Success Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site daily at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, United States; travel to other sites approximately 20% of the time. Relocation bonus available.

Salary: $135,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, extend, troubleshoot, and support AtomEngine in military training environments, including classified and air-gapped systems.
• Embed onsite with customers at Fort Leavenworth to understand operational needs, support deployments, and provide product and engineering feedback.
• Integrate AtomEngine with partner systems by configuring and troubleshooting APIs, networking, infrastructure dependencies, and system connectivity.
• Support live exercises, resolve technical issues in real time, and implement fixes for upcoming customer engagements.
• Contribute to the engineering backlog using Godot, C++, C#, Python, and related tooling.
• Improve documentation, deployment processes, and operational repeatability while communicating technical concepts to military stakeholders, partners, and internal teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or a customer-facing engineering role involving hands-on development.
• Production-quality software development experience with C++, C#, Python, GDScript, or a similar programming language.
• Experience troubleshooting software systems, integrations, networking, or distributed applications.
• Prior military experience and an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• Ability to work onsite daily at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and travel approximately 20% of the time.
• Strong communication skills, independence in ambiguous environments, and experience presenting or teaching technical concepts to large groups.
