Company
is a fusion-energy spin-out from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics developing hardware and infrastructure for commercial stellarator fusion power plants.
What you will do
- Drive the delivery of high-power radio-frequency and particle heating sources developed by external partners.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and designs to determine the optimal power-delivery path for the Alpha stellarator.
- Integrate heating systems developed across the supply chain with the wider Alpha stellarator design and engineering teams.
- Coordinate with project management and external partnerships teams to deliver RF components using internal and grant funding.
- Capture technical and delivery learnings from Alpha to inform the heating system strategy for the Stellaris power plant.
Requirements
- Direct experience leading the delivery and installation of a megawatt-level heating or particle accelerator system.
- Experience delivering projects that combine vendor-supplied and internally developed systems.
- Experience with gyrotrons and associated components, including transmission systems, launcher antennas, and RF loads.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-experts.
- Ability to work on-site in Munich.
