Senior Technical Product Manager – Platform Services (Fintech)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with 2–3 days per week in the Soho office

Salary: $169,000–$205,000 annual salary range for New York residents, plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Own the product vision and roadmap for core platform APIs and services, aligning strategy with engineering capacity and partner needs.
• Define API strategies, requirements, endpoint designs, naming conventions, data contracts, and backward-compatibility standards.
• Maintain accurate API documentation and participate in API design reviews for internal and external consumers.
• Define and track SLAs, SLOs, operational KPIs, call volumes, usage patterns, and scaling risks.
• Gather and prioritize needs from product teams, partners, and external integrators while communicating roadmap decisions and tradeoffs.
• Work hands-on with engineers and API tools such as Postman or curl to validate functionality, troubleshoot issues, and improve user experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience with strong ownership of technical platform or API-driven products.
• Proven experience managing API roadmaps in production environments and defining API requirements and documentation.
• Experience defining and operationalizing SLAs, SLOs, reliability metrics, API usage forecasts, and scaling plans.
• Strong understanding of domain modeling, entity relationships, data contracts, system design, and technical constraints.
• Experience working with diverse API consumer personas and prioritizing competing needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
