Lead, Corporate Controlling (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office. Occasional domestic and international business travel is required.

Base salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with corporate departments and executives on operational and strategic financial decisions.
• Lead annual budgeting and maintain rolling forecasts for assigned cost centers.
• Own month-end close activities, including transaction review, accruals, cost allocations, and variance analysis.
• Aggregate corporate-function results and report KPI performance to the CFO, Finance leadership, and business stakeholders.
• Monitor transactions, internal controls, financial governance, and expense classification with Accounting.
• Improve financial processes, reporting transparency, planning tools, and scalable finance systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment is preferred.
• Experience with ERP and planning systems such as SAP or Oracle is preferred.
