Senior Software Engineering Manager

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop software engineers and team leads while establishing clear ownership, accountability, and growth plans.
• Own delivery planning, prioritization, execution tracking, dependency management, and risk management across platform initiatives.
• Improve estimation, sprint execution, release readiness, quality gates, operational reviews, defect management, and production readiness.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Controls, QA, DevOps, and customer-facing teams on roadmap priorities, integrations, and milestones.
• Oversee design and development of the supervisory control platform, including scalable architecture and engineering ownership.
• Lead secure, reliable, and observable connectivity between on-premise warehouse systems and cloud platform services.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in software development management or engineering leadership.
• Experience managing teams responsible for complex platforms, middleware, distributed systems, or operational software delivery.
• Strong experience with execution management, delivery planning, dependency management, process improvement, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience delivering APIs, integration contracts, backend services, or platform capabilities across independently owned systems.
• Required experience with cloud platforms and hybrid architecture, including secure connectivity between on-premise systems and cloud services.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Warehouse automation, robotics, intralogistics, WES/WMS/WCS, hirify.global, ASRS, or comparable domain experience.
• Experience managing teams across independently owned software and control-system components.
• Experience improving execution, engineering processes, delivery predictability, and release quality at scale.
