Architectural Engineer

Location: Miami, Florida, United States. Full-time in-office role with periodic site travel of approximately 10–20%.

What you will do

• Review architectural packages covering envelope assemblies, roofing, exterior skin, doors and hardware, layouts, and finishes for code compliance, durability, and program standards.
• Verify equipment movement, maintenance access, security layering, occupancy classification, egress, fire-rated assemblies, and accessibility compliance.
• Support permit submittals and coordinate AHJ plan-review comments through resolution across multiple jurisdictions.
• Review envelope details, including air and vapor barriers, roofing terminations, penetrations, and louver and equipment interfaces, and support water-tightness milestones.
• Coordinate architectural scope with structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and security disciplines.
• Respond to RFIs and submittals, support finish and punch milestones, and maintain architectural standards and typical details across the portfolio.

Requirements

• 5+ years of architectural or architectural-engineering experience on industrial, mission-critical, or large commercial buildings.
• Strong working knowledge of IBC, egress and life-safety design, fire-rated assemblies, and accessibility requirements.
• Experience with building envelopes, air and vapor barriers, roofing systems, and constructible detailing.
• Experience managing AHJ plan-review cycles through approval across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proficiency reviewing Revit-based packages, specifications, and construction submittals.
• Ability to support several concurrent projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external design partners.

Nice to have

• RA or PE license, or a clear path to licensure.
• Data center, semiconductor, or industrial project experience.
