Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Power Systems)

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing readiness, production ramp, and industrialization for inverters, transformers, switchgears, and complete power electronics systems.
• Act as the primary manufacturing engineering interface for contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Develop and standardize assembly, testing, production controls, reporting, and traceability processes.
• Optimize factory layouts, material flow, line balancing, capacity, throughput, cycle time, and bottleneck performance.
• Drive cost reduction by reducing labor content, waste, rework, scrap, floor-space usage, and tooling costs.
• Conduct supplier-site production reviews, process audits, DFMEA reviews, and manufacturing assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken, is required.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in power electronics, industrial equipment, renewable energy, high-power electrical systems, automotive, or related industries.
• Experience with complex electromechanical assembly and test operations, NPI, production ramp, and manufacturing scale-up.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA/DFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, and process improvement methods.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with solar power electronics, high-voltage or high-current products, power conversion systems, automated test systems, or heavy assembly operations.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing data analysis.
