Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Electronics Manufacturing)

Location: St Paul, Minnesota, United States; on-site five days per week

Annual base salary: $81,800–$146,720

What you will do

• Lead factory transformation, equipment implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, energy efficiency, downtime reduction, and SQDC performance.
• Analyze and resolve manufacturing process and product design challenges using root-cause investigations, statistical analysis, and corrective action planning.
• Design and optimize manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, station controls, tooling, fixtures, routings, process maps, and cycle times.
• Develop, validate, and document manufacturing processes for SMT, selective and wave soldering, AOI/X-ray inspection, conformal coating, and final assembly.
• Apply DFM/DFT principles in collaboration with design teams to improve manufacturability and testability.
• Partner with EHS and cross-functional teams to maintain safe, compliant, and standardized manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with process automation and AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Mechanical and electrical application knowledge related to equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, quality systems, DFM/DFT principles, and BOM management.
• Hands-on electronics or PCBA manufacturing experience, including SMT operations, reflow, wave and selective soldering, and AOI, X-ray, or SPI inspection.
• Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and decision-making skills; a bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred but not required.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Circuit-board-level troubleshooting knowledge.
