Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site. Relocation assistance and visa and green card application support are available where applicable.

Salary: $249K–$405K per year.

What you will do

• Build reliable systems that process and analyze millions of contracts.
• Design scalable pipelines orchestrating LLMs, data extraction, and clustering algorithms.
• Create accurate search and retrieval systems for large contract databases.
• Collaborate with lawyers and product teams to develop new contract intelligence capabilities.
• Make pragmatic engineering decisions focused on product impact and practical solutions.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience building scalable systems.
• Ability to work with LLMs, data extraction, clustering, and search or retrieval systems.
• Strong ownership, resourcefulness, urgency, and bias toward action.
• Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco, United States.
