Senior Manager Technology Partnerships (Laser/Optics)

Location: Munich, Germany. Relocation support is available.

What you will do

• Build the Laser Team’s technology partnerships strategy, aligned with the technology roadmap and decision gates.
• Scout and evaluate external and publicly funded projects, business opportunities, and potential technology partners.
• Develop joint roadmaps and co-development projects with strategic partners.
• Own PMO activities for a laser-related program, including governance, portfolio management, budget and resource planning, risk management, and KPI reporting.
• Support supplier development, qualification of critical laser components, and the transition from R&D prototypes to industrialization and scale-up.
• Coordinate strategic and operational projects with internal and external partners across business, science, engineering, accounting, purchasing, and financial planning.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in business, engineering, physics, or a related field.
• Hands-on technical Project or Program Management experience, ideally in operations, strategy, R&D, or a deep-tech environment.
• Experience in technology partnerships or stakeholder management across technical and business functions.
• Successful completion of a complex project and the ability to engage credibly with laser and optics engineering counterparts.
• Professional-level skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
• Fluency in English and German is required.
