Project Manager (Robotics)

Location: Redwood City, United States; on-site. Travel of up to 40% is required, with work conducted in customer warehouses and distribution centers.

Annual base salary: $110,000–$140,000, plus potentially eligible benefits and equity.

What you will do

• Manage robotic deployments from planning and site surveys through installation, commissioning, verification, and operator training.
• Coordinate technicians, hardware and software deployment engineers, design engineers, supply chain teams, contractors, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
• Manage bills of materials, tools, equipment, site logistics, component sizing, delivery, and deployment quality.
• Manage changes, upgrades, and the backlog across multiple robotic deployments while accounting for operational and technical dependencies.
• Establish project management processes, templates, best practices, and operating standards to increase deployment capacity, reduce costs, and improve delivery speed.
• Capture deployment learnings and translate them into requirements for process and design improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing technical programs or projects, preferably involving software and hardware solutions.
• Experience with implementation or deployment project management for complex software and hardware systems.
• Working knowledge of project management tools, processes, and procedures, including operating plans and budgets.
• Experience coordinating technical and non-technical teams, geo-distributed project teams, third parties, contractors, contract manufacturers, and vendors.
• Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels and maintain accountability for deadlines and deliverables.
• Ability to work in varying customer environments, including warehouses and distribution centers, and travel up to 40%.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automation, material handling, logistics, and distribution technologies and processes.
• General engineering, testing, and debugging skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
