Senior UX Designer (AI)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Base salary: $100,000–$157,000 USD per year, plus a discretionary annual variable target incentive.

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and test human-centered experiences for complex, data-rich enterprise applications.
• Shape user experiences for data platforms, analytics engines, cloud healthcare tools, electronic health records, and data management products.
• Explore emerging AI capabilities and design AI-powered features with clarity, user control, appropriate automation, and trust.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, domain experts, and data science teams from concept through launch.
• Use research, testing, storytelling, and iteration to solve complex UX challenges and improve product outcomes.
• Help evolve UX strategy and the design language across a broad ecosystem of applications and services.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a UX designer, UX generalist, or in a similar role, including research experience.
• Experience designing enterprise software for data-intensive users, such as IDEs, data pipelines, analytics tools, machine learning workflows, data catalogs, or low-code tools.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping software, including Figma.
• Creative and analytical thinking with strong storytelling, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively while remaining self-motivated and committed to continuous learning.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of W3C and Section 508 accessibility guidelines.
• Familiarity with data science, data engineering, healthcare, or frontend web development terminology.
• Experience with LLMs and human-in-the-loop workflow design.
• Degree in HCI, interaction design, psychology, graphic design, computer science, data analytics, machine learning, or a related field.
• Portfolio samples demonstrating design approach and results.
