Lead UX Designer (AI)

Location: Bothell, Washington, United States. Full-time onsite role performed at the designated work location five days per week. No relocation is offered.

Salary: $143,800–$215,800 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead UX design across multiple products, customer journeys, and strategic initiatives.
• Use AI-enabled tools such as Figma Make, Adobe Firefly, Claude Code, or similar tools to accelerate ideation and prototyping.
• Design and evolve enterprise-scale Figma component libraries, from foundational elements to complex reusable patterns.
• Partner with content writers, product managers, engineers, and design system teams to translate customer needs into scalable experiences.
• Improve design processes, style guides, documentation, and cross-team UX alignment.
• Mentor designers through critiques, reviews, and knowledge sharing while incorporating usability testing results into design decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UX design, HCI, visual communication, or a related field, with 5+ years of related experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating structural design across varied customer journeys and experience making data-driven decisions.
• Advanced Figma expertise, including component architecture, library management, design tokens, documentation, and governance.
• Experience building and evolving accessible enterprise design systems while balancing consistency, flexibility, and engineering feasibility.
• Knowledge of UX fundamentals, accessibility standards, responsive design, digital brand experience, and business and consumer audiences.
• Ability to prompt, evaluate, and refine AI-generated design concepts using human-centered UX judgment; strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• In-house or creative agency experience.
• Experience with conversational AI, generative AI, personalization, or intelligent-assistance patterns.
• Experience with Workfront or a similar project management system.
• Certification in applicable areas.
