Annual base salary: $122,400–$168,300, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own daily operations, scheduling, throughput, staffing, and operational costs for the QC Inspection team in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Advise on measurement strategy, equipment downtime, inspection bottlenecks, and complex quality-control problems.
• Establish engineering standards, laboratory safety protocols, and IQ/OQ/PQ validation methods for metrology equipment.
• Provide turnaround-time visibility and manage laboratory capacity to prevent production delays.
• Develop KPIs such as backlog aging, cycle time, and first-pass yield to improve laboratory efficiency.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a multi-shift QC team while integrating inspection data with MES/ERP systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in quality control, metrology, or inspection within high-precision manufacturing.
• 3+ years of formal management experience at M2 or Lead level, including management of a multi-shift technical team.
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T and metrology equipment including CMM, GOM/Blue Light, and NDT.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, staffing, and resource forecasts based on production volume.
• Deep understanding of ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to translate complex quality data into actionable narratives for senior management.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling a QC laboratory in a fast-paced startup-to-production environment.
• Lean Six Sigma certification and experience with 5S or Kaizen events in a laboratory.
• Experience with metal additive manufacturing inspection and powder-bed fusion quality control.
• Experience automating inspection data workflows and integrating laboratory results into digital threads.
