Design Systems Lead (AI/SaaS)

Location: San Francisco, United States. Work arrangement: On-site. Relocation assistance to San Francisco is available for successful applicants.

Compensation: $220,000–$280,000 per year, with final details based on experience, expertise, and overall fit.

What you will do

• Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for hirify.global’s design system.
• Create, maintain, and scale component libraries, design tokens, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards.
• Partner with Engineering to drive system adoption, alignment, and implementation quality.
• Develop Figma libraries, documentation, and quality checks that improve designer and developer collaboration.
• Shape best practices for design documentation, guidelines, and cross-team collaboration.
• Manage a small team of designers and raise the standard of design craft and execution.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in product design.
• Experience building design systems for SaaS platforms.
• Deep expertise in Figma, component libraries, tokens, variants, and systematic file organization.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including the ability to explain system rationale and implementation guidance.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and high expectations for craft.
• A portfolio demonstrating scalable design patterns, systematic solutions to complex UI challenges, and cohesive product experiences.
