EHS Manager

Location: South Tacoma, Washington, United States; on-site

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year, with possible equity, sign-on payments, and additional compensation depending on the position.

What you will do

• Own ORIR and LTI performance data, identify root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions with Operations.
• Document and investigate OSHA-recordable incidents and ensure corrective actions are completed on time.
• Maintain safety training completion above 95% for associates and departments, including onboarding and PIT training before first floor shifts.
• Conduct monthly safety audits, track open findings, and improve audit results over time.
• Maintain and regularly practice emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and first aid readiness across all shifts.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims, modified-duty programs, timely reporting, and cost reduction efforts.

Requirements

• 3+ years of safety or EHS experience, ideally in production, warehousing, distribution, or e-fulfillment.
• Formal or extensive regulatory experience, including responsibility for OSHA logs, complaints, and on-site support.
• Experience supporting multi-shift operations, including night or weekend shifts.
• Hands-on experience with Job Hazard Analyses, safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
• Ability to independently manage, influence, and execute integrated safety programs without dedicated Safety Supervisor support.
• Comfort spending a significant portion of each shift on the warehouse floor.
