EH&S Manager (HSE)

Location: Fremont, California, USA; requires approximately 20–30% travel within the United States.

Annual salary: $150,000–$165,000 for California.

What you will do

• Lead the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of HSE programs across U.S. operations and acquired businesses.
• Support HSE strategy, policies, procedures, standards, and management systems while partnering with operational leaders.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal OSHA, EPA, DOT, state, and local requirements.
• Lead risk assessments, incident reporting, investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, audits, inspections, and site assessments.
• Support acquisition due diligence and integrate acquired entities into HSE programs, reporting processes, standards, and training.
• Develop training, KPIs, performance dashboards, reports, and safety-culture initiatives for employees and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive HSE experience across multiple facilities, business units, or geographic regions.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, Cal OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience developing and administering HSE programs, conducting audits and investigations, assessing risks, and managing corrective actions.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 20–30% within the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting business integrations.
• Experience in renewable energy, manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, technology, construction, or related industries.
• ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualification.
• CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, OHST, or equivalent certification.
• Experience presenting HSE performance and initiatives to leadership.
