TL;DR
Specialist, Pre-Series Management (Automotive): Managing Design Verification Plans and coordinating vehicle validation activities across component, subsystem, and full-vehicle programs with an accent on test coverage, execution tracking, and cross-functional alignment. Focus on identifying validation gaps, escalating risks, improving reporting, and supporting prototype-build and gateway readiness reviews.
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, company events, and occasional travel are required.
Base salary: $110,000–$135,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

is developing electrified, digitally enabled pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains.
What you will do
- Own and maintain Design Verification Plans for vehicle systems and subsystems.
- Track validation and development activities at component, subsystem, and full-vehicle levels.
- Coordinate engineering, test and validation, prototype operations, and supplier stakeholders.
- Identify missing tests, insufficient coverage, outdated requirements, delays, and readiness risks.
- Prepare DVP, validation progress, risk, and blocker reports for program leadership.
- Improve validation tracking, reporting, coordination processes, and standardized practices across programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in vehicle development, validation or verification, and prototype or pre-series environments.
- Strong experience with Design Verification Plans and vehicle validation processes.
- Ability to manage complex cross-functional activities and communicate with stakeholders effectively.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and risk-management skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Charlotte 4–5 days per week and travel occasionally.
Nice to have
- Experience with full-vehicle development programs at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
- Familiarity with durability, functional, and integration testing and automotive development milestones.
- Experience with JIRA, Polarion, Teamcenter, or similar program tracking tools.
- Background in both engineering and validation or test environments.
- Startup or fast-paced development experience.
