What you will do

• Generate mechanistic hypotheses and lead validation studies using in vitro and in vivo systems.
• Design project-specific experimental strategies, techniques, procedures, and biochemical or cellular assays.
• Translate in vitro discoveries into in vivo studies using mouse models of relevant diseases.
• Support target identification, mechanistic studies, and therapeutic validation in translational projects.
• Collaborate with chemists, pharmacologists, bioinformaticians, and other scientists.
• Present clear scientific data to colleagues and senior leaders.

Requirements

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, life sciences, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant hands-on experience in biotech, pharma, or a leading academic institution.
• Strong molecular and cell biology background, including cell culture and assay development.
• Experience working in vivo with mouse preclinical models in the UK.
• High rigor and precision in experimental procedures, data recording, and documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot experiments independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively.

Nice to have

• Expertise or strong interest in ageing biology, cellular reprogramming, and metabolism.
• Experience with imaging, flow cytometry, high-content screening, or automated cell analysis.
• Biochemistry skills, including biochemical and enzymatic assay development.
