Location: Auckland, New Zealand. For New Zealand roles, background and nationality checks apply because the position involves access to ITAR-regulated equipment and data.

What you will do

  • Support production and launch-vehicle system testing in a high-growth manufacturing environment.
  • Manage production improvement projects with internal stakeholders.
  • Design manufacturing tools and jigs and develop related production processes.
  • Create work instructions for technicians using the developed systems.
  • Perform process failure mode and effects analysis, risk assessments, and daily issue management.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and subject matter experts across departments.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program with a mechanical background.
  • Hands-on experience from engineering project teams, laboratory research, internships, or relevant work.
  • Able to read, interpret, and create mechanical drawings.
  • Self-managed, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and able to work independently with external companies.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • For New Zealand roles, eligibility to access ITAR-regulated equipment and data is required; certain citizenship or nationality combinations may be ineligible.

Nice to have

  • Experience with 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles, PFMEA, pneumatic or hydraulic systems, and hands-on manufacturing methods.
  • Previous manufacturing engineering internship or project experience.
