What you will do
- Support production and launch-vehicle system testing in a high-growth manufacturing environment.
- Manage production improvement projects with internal stakeholders.
- Design manufacturing tools and jigs and develop related production processes.
- Create work instructions for technicians using the developed systems.
- Perform process failure mode and effects analysis, risk assessments, and daily issue management.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and subject matter experts across departments.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program with a mechanical background.
- Hands-on experience from engineering project teams, laboratory research, internships, or relevant work.
- Able to read, interpret, and create mechanical drawings.
- Self-managed, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and able to work independently with external companies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- For New Zealand roles, eligibility to access ITAR-regulated equipment and data is required; certain citizenship or nationality combinations may be ineligible.
Nice to have
- Experience with 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles, PFMEA, pneumatic or hydraulic systems, and hands-on manufacturing methods.
- Previous manufacturing engineering internship or project experience.
