Production Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Assist with fabrication, assembly, and testing of avionics systems, structures, mechanisms, and electromechanical components.
• Support integration of rover subassemblies and fully integrated systems.
• Develop tooling, work instructions, and process documentation to improve manufacturability and vehicle reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support failure analysis during assembly and testing.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and managers to improve production accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in vehicle testing onsite and at specialized facilities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM-related discipline.
• Engineering experience through coursework, research, student organizations, personal projects, internships, or other hands-on activities.
• Experience applying engineering principles in laboratory, project, or manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience collaborating on team-based engineering projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronic test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, or sensors.
• Experience with eCAD software such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad, or mCAD software such as NX or SolidWorks.
• Basic programming experience with Python, LabVIEW, or a similar language.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies.
