Technician 4, Test Engineering (Automation)

What you will do

• Set up, troubleshoot, recover, calibrate, and optimize Testcell, Tester, Bagger, VDCS, Conveyor, robotics, and integrated automation systems.
• Investigate test equipment quality incidents, perform root cause and failure analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor KPIVs, KPOVs, OEE, maintenance logs, and preventive maintenance data to identify trends and improve equipment performance.
• Support equipment upgrades, automation improvements, reliability initiatives, product conversions, machine evaluations, and qualifications.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, checklist verification, and technical troubleshooting in production environments.
• Train and mentor junior technicians while providing technical guidance during critical equipment escalations.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• 4–5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Advanced electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills covering AC/DC systems, three-phase power, relays, sensors, drives, power supplies, safety circuits, and control panels.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, motion control, and automated equipment systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, P&ID drawings, mechanical assembly drawings, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, PPE, ESD requirements, ISO standards, and cleanroom protocols.

Nice to have

• PLC and automation/control troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance tools or Test & Measurement equipment.
• Hands-on PCB repair and electronic circuit troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, multimeters, schematics, and component replacement techniques.
