Technician 3, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance

Location: Onsite in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia; requires 12-hour shift work

What you will do

• Maintain and repair backend manufacturing equipment, including package saw, solder ball attach, laser cut, laser mark, and AOI machines.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to support smooth production operations and maintain targeted uptime.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities and equipment conversions within the required timelines.
• Track and improve MTBA, repeat alarm metrics, and OEE.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and collaborate with engineering on reliability and process improvements.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, equipment performance, deviations, and safety compliance.

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or an equivalent field.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to read, write, and converse in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting flows.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic components.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and participate in Safety and 6S audits and training.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with computer systems and computer networks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with package saw, solder ball attach, laser cut, laser mark, or AOI machines.
• Ability to work independently and strong interpersonal skills.
