hirify.global is building a circular energy ecosystem that recovers, reuses, and recycles batteries to localize the global battery supply chain and produce large-scale energy storage and battery materials.

What you will do

  • Design and implement bare-metal real-time firmware for power electronics, including high-resolution PWM generation, ADC synchronization, and timing logic.
  • Develop and optimize microcontroller peripheral drivers for SPI, CAN, Ethernet, and other low-level interfaces.
  • Translate power electronics control theory into deterministic software for ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-R architectures.
  • Maintain build procedures and scripts, write testable code, and integrate firmware into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Profile and optimize multi-core software for task efficiency and low latency in time-critical control loops.
  • Scale embedded systems from early prototypes to mass-market production while maintaining code quality and reliability.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 2+ years of firmware engineering experience.
  • Expert proficiency in Rust or C and experience debugging embedded systems with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
  • Strong experience with ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-R, bare-metal task management, low-level architecture, and multi-core memory optimization.
  • Understanding of high-speed ADC sampling, high-resolution PWM, hardware timers, and safety-critical software development.
  • Experience with I2C, UART, SPI, CAN/CAN-FD, and Ethernet protocols.
  • Knowledge of Make or CMake, test automation, and CI/CD is essential.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with UL certification standards for energy storage systems.
  • Experience reverse-engineering CAN protocols or developing custom evaluation tools.
  • Experience developing bootloaders, implementing secure boot, or profiling real-time multi-core targets.
