What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain deterministic embedded firmware for EV motor control systems in bare-metal and RTOS environments.
• Configure and optimize vendor BSPs and develop low-level hardware drivers.
• Deploy, tune, and optimize motor control algorithms, including high-frequency field-oriented control.
• Optimize CPU efficiency, interrupt latency, memory usage, performance, and safety.
• Test, debug, and validate firmware using real-time simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop environments.
• Integrate firmware with hardware, application software, and power electronics teams, and maintain design and testing documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• 3+ years of professional embedded firmware development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ for resource-constrained embedded systems.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers or equivalent embedded platforms.
• Understanding of motor control algorithms, digital signal processing, control theory, and PID tuning.
• Familiarity with CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART, plus hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree focused on control systems.
• Experience with EV powertrains or automotive motor controls.
• Experience implementing sensorless control techniques.
• Knowledge of complex timer units and cross-triggering peripherals such as eTPU and GTM.
• Experience operating Hardware-in-the-Loop testing environments.
