Firmware Engineer Manager (Embedded)

Salary: $180,000–$210,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop and optimize firmware for hardware devices, including edge performance optimization.
• Design, code, and test high-performance subsystems for constrained hardware.
• Build firmware across the embedded stack, from bootloaders and platform firmware to high-level applications.
• Port and maintain RTOS components, flash file systems, communication stacks, and build tools.
• Drive system architecture discussions and integrate component firmware with the wider Lunar system.
• Support code reviews, system testing, reliability and manufacturing teams, and performance debugging.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development and architecture experience across the lifecycle from prototype to production.
• Experience developing C for bare-metal systems and/or RTOS environments.
• Experience implementing power electronics firmware control functionality.
• Ability to integrate hardware and software into end-to-end solutions.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams using modern software engineering practices such as Git and continuous integration.
• Ability to work effectively in a small, fast-moving team and contribute independently.
