Electrical Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; on-site

Base salary: USD $115,000–$150,000 per year, based on skills, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Design electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and control architectures for robotic platforms.
• Select and integrate sensors, actuators, motor controllers, power distribution systems, and embedded electronics.
• Create electrical schematics and documentation while supporting product development from prototype through production.
• Build, test, and validate electrical systems for performance, reliability, and safety.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control-system issues during development, manufacturing, and customer deployments.
• Improve electrical performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost while supporting commissioning and occasional on-site customer troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Completed training or studies in electrical engineering, electrics, or a comparable discipline.
• 3+ years of experience designing electrical systems for robotics or similar fields.
• Experience with control systems, sensors, actuators, and electrical components.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and circuit-design software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Boston, Massachusetts.
