Manufacturing Engineer - Third Shift

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site. Monday–Friday, 10:00 pm–6:30 am. Occasional travel, nights, weekends, or on-call work may be required.

Salary: $103,000–$166,000 per year, including a 15% shift differential.

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical leader for third-shift manufacturing operations.
• Balance production demands with safety and quality, including stopping work when necessary.
• Train, coach, and develop technicians on high-precision manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot non-conformances, resolve process drift, and escalate design or system failures.
• Document issues in Jira and provide clear, data-driven feedback to weekday engineering teams.
• Improve work instructions, shift transitions, production flow, and team readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent high-level technical experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience.
• Proficiency with NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM.
• Experience with Jira, Slack, Odoo, or similar ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems, preferably in a FOAK or rapidly scaling environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Devens, Massachusetts, and comply with U.S. export control laws. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work around heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenics.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience in high-complexity assembly environments.
• Experience with insulation systems such as stator winding, VPI processes, taping, or high-voltage isolation.
• Knowledge of statistical process control and failure modes and effects analysis.
