Manufacturing Engineer (Nuclear)

What you will do

• Develop and own manufacturing processes for critical reactor sub-systems, including conventional and special processes.
• Mature processes from prototype to production by establishing standard workflows and qualification plans.
• Collaborate with design and materials teams to influence form/fit and drive DFM improvements.
• Analyze manufacturing discrepancies and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Identify and execute design-for-manufacturability improvements to reduce costs and non-conformance.
• Train team members on best-in-class operations practices and process improvement.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR authorization.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics.
• 2+ years of experience in special process manufacturing, aerospace/nuclear super alloys, or production engineering.
• Experience creating work instructions and tracking BOM components.
• Knowledge of PLM, ERP, and MES systems.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Torrance, CA.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with complex special processes like welding, brazing, heat treatment, or additive manufacturing.
• Experience creating factory layouts and using CAD (NX).
• Hands-on experience with fluid, gas, or high voltage systems.
