Mechanical Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, California; relocation to a new facility in Hawthorne, California planned for summer. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annual base salary plus equity

What you will do

• Design production hardware and test equipment.
• Design and analyze electromechanical systems.
• Collaborate across the organization to develop design requirements.
• Select and manage contract manufacturers for a range of manufacturing processes.
• Work with PCB assemblies and electronics enclosures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience with the full design cycle from ideation through production.
• Experience designing with SolidWorks or another CAD package.
• General knowledge of designing electrical enclosures.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing and GD&T.
• U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency is required.

Nice to have

• Gearbox design and fabrication experience.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical actuator design and analysis.
