What you will do
- Run and maintain 3D printers, CNC machines, and workshop tooling.
- Create and review CAD models and produce parts, jigs, and test fixtures to drawing.
- Lead the mechanical build and commissioning of Direct-to-Chip testing and validation rigs.
- Perform leak checks, function testing, fault-finding, troubleshooting, and mechanical or electrical modifications.
- Assemble mechanical subsystems and low-voltage control panels and instrumentation to schematic.
- Operate test rigs, manage test configurations, review data, recommend improvements, and procure components.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating 3D printers, CNC machines, and workshop tooling.
- Comfort with both mechanical assembly and electrical build work.
- Experience in prototype, R&D, or low-volume build environments.
- Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix issues.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, California.
