Machinist/Fabricator

What you will do

• Program CAM in Fusion 360 or Mastercam from engineering CAD models and manage prototype jobs from setup through first article and production.
• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC vertical mills, manual mills and lathes, waterjet equipment, and CNC press brakes.
• Design and build fixtures, soft jaws, and workholding for rapid repeat production.
• Fabricate and finish parts and assemblies, including TIG/MIG welding, PEM hardware insertion, deburring, surface finishing, and fit-up.
• Inspect finished work against drawings and GD&T using precision measurement tools.
• Manage tooling inventory and vendors, support prototype rack assembly, maintain equipment, and provide design-for-manufacturability feedback to engineers.

Requirements

• Trade school, apprenticeship, or journeyman machinist certification.
• Experience with Fusion 360 or Mastercam and Haas controls.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC press brakes and waterjet or laser cutting equipment.
• Proficiency with TIG and/or MIG welding on aluminum and steel.
• Prototype, R&D, or quick-turn job shop experience, with the ability to work in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends, lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance, stand for extended periods, and obtain forklift certification.

Nice to have

• Experience managing tool crib inventory and tooling purchases.
• Basic CAD skills in Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar tools for fixture design.
• Experience machining coldplates, manifolds, or server and rack hardware.
