TL;DR
IT Intern (Information Systems): Supporting the implementation, maintenance, improvement, and security of information systems with an accent on user and device provisioning, network configuration, troubleshooting, and security monitoring. Focus on analyzing security events, documenting controls and processes, supporting SOC2 and GDPR compliance, and providing technical assistance to end-users.
Location: Onsite at the Holladay, Utah office

What you will do
- Support the implementation and maintenance of information systems, including user and device provisioning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, including security-relevant events and alerts.
- Maintain and configure network equipment and provide technical support to end-users.
- Research and analyze opportunities to improve system efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Help develop security policies, standards, internal documentation, and records for software, hardware, licenses, and assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to SOC2 and GDPR compliance activities.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Familiarity with operating systems, networking protocols, databases, cloud technologies, and scripting languages.
- Ability to troubleshoot systematically, learn quickly, work independently, and collaborate with a team.
- Ability to work with highly technical users and maintain a patient, customer-service mindset.
- Availability to work onsite in the Holladay, Utah office.
Nice to have
- Experience with Linux and MacOS.
- Previous IT internship experience.
- Experience with security operations.
- Experience using AI tools to augment and accelerate work.
