Senior/Staff Manufacturing Engineer DFM (Robotics)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary: $120,000–$205,000 USD annually, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Provide manufacturability, assembly, testing, and tooling insights from product concept through full production.
• Lead in-house development of complex prototype manufacturing equipment.
• Design assembly sequences and define critical quality parameters for production efficiency.
• Support the scaling of manufacturing lines from initial concepts to high-volume production.
• Use virtualization technologies to accelerate development and reduce technical risks.
• Diagnose multidisciplinary issues across mechanical, electrical, software, and control systems while supporting integrators and suppliers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of direct experience in hardware DFM manufacturing, including prototype and production line design.
• Expertise in mechanical assembly, electrical integration, sealing, torque tools, testing, troubleshooting, automation equipment, control systems, and quality control strategy.
• Experience with 3D and 2D CAD, GD&T, and statistical process control.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and engineering skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
