Company

hirify.global develops advanced dynamic robots, including Atlas, Spot, and Stretch, combining mechanical design, control systems, and AI-driven perception.

What you will do

  • Develop, optimize, and implement assembly workflows and rate production processes for Atlas from prototype through low-volume production.
  • Design production systems including material flows, value stream maps, floor layouts, automation integrations, fixtures, tools, and jigs.
  • Partner with Hardware Engineering on DFM/DFA, manufacturability, serviceability, and evolving product designs.
  • Support hands-on prototype builds by troubleshooting assembly issues, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.
  • Define work instructions, SOPs, training materials, inspection processes, FAI, in-process checks, and final acceptance criteria.
  • Lead tooling validation and continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process controls, and capability studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–15 years of experience in process engineering, process development, or advanced manufacturing, preferably with robotics, aerospace, or complex electromechanical systems.
  • Expert proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA, including tool and fixture design and engineering drawing review.
  • Hands-on experience with precision assembly, custom tooling, automation equipment, GD&T, inspection, and process validation.
  • Experience in prototype, low-volume, or high-mix production environments and with machining, fabrication, additive manufacturing, or rapid prototyping.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

  • Experience with humanoid or robotic development programs, precision motion systems, actuators, or advanced sensors.
  • Experience with CNC machining for novel materials, specialized gear manufacturing, PLM, MES, or external manufacturing suppliers.
  • Experience in research-to-product transition environments.
  • TWI Job Instruction or Job Methods certification.

Culture & Benefits

  • Cross-functional collaboration with Hardware Engineering, Prototype Operations, Systems Engineering, Behavior, Software, Supply Chain, and Hyundai Motor Group.
  • Hands-on work supporting advanced humanoid robotics development and low-volume manufacturing.
  • Opportunity to apply automotive manufacturing expertise to Atlas production systems.
