Solutions Engineer (API Management)

Location: United States; hybrid work with regional hubs

Salary: Up to $221,000 base plus variable compensation per year

What you will do

• Partner with Enterprise Account Executives to lead technical sales processes and convert prospects into long-term customers.
• Conduct discovery sessions, analyze enterprise architectures, deliver tailored product demonstrations, and lead proofs of concept.
• Provide technical guidance to prospective customers and help existing accounts maximize platform value.
• Identify expansion opportunities in collaboration with Customer Success and Technical Account Management.
• Work with system integrators, consulting partners, and technology providers on technical integrations.
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing to influence the roadmap and contribute to technical talks, blogs, and community initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or technical pre-sales for a B2B SaaS or software vendor.
• Experience engaging developers, enterprise architects, security teams, and CTOs.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for both business and technical audiences.
• Domain experience with middleware, API Management, Identity and Access Management, or integration platforms.
• Hands-on familiarity with REST, JSON, XML, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of containerization and modern infrastructure, including Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and Linux.

Nice to have

• Event-driven architectures and AsyncAPIs.
• OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Kafka, gRPC, or GraphQL.
• LLMs, AI agents, or generative AI platforms.
• Scripting or coding experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
