Principal Solutions Engineer (HR Tech)

Location: United States; hybrid work from a local office at least 2 days per week or 8 days per month in a hub location. Candidates not located near a hub may work fully remotely. Hybrid roles require up to 25% travel, while remote roles require up to 40% travel for client engagements and internal purposes.

Salary: $198,800–$248,500 annually plus commission in New York City, San Francisco, and Seattle; $178,920–$223,650 annually plus commission in all other locations.

What you will do

• Own complex, platform-defining engagements, including Fortune 100 deployments, government projects, multi-region rollouts, and deals with non-HR technical buyers.
• Advise executive leadership on platform strategy, integration roadmaps, enterprise buyer trends, and the long-term design of the Solutions Engineering function.
• Shape hirify.global's integration, security, and enterprise platform narrative for technical buyers across the market.
• Lead company-wide initiatives such as scaled SE coverage models, platform integration planning, and AI-driven SE tooling.
• Establish thought leadership through external speaking, writing, and industry presence.
• Mentor SE and GTM leaders and help raise the standard for enterprise Solutions Engineering talent.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting, including building or leading SE functions at high-growth enterprise SaaS companies.
• Recognized external reputation and executive-level credibility with CIO, CISO, and CFO stakeholders in enterprise SE or HR Tech.
• Experience advising CEO, CRO, and CPO-level leaders on platform strategy, go-to-market motion, and SE function design.
• Deep expertise in HRIS, LMS, SSO, API integration ecosystems, and enterprise compliance frameworks at the architecture and strategy level.
• Track record of owning and closing complex Fortune 100, government, multi-region, multi-stakeholder, and long-cycle enterprise deals.
• Experience significantly building or maturing an SE function, plus demonstrated thought leadership through speaking, writing, or recognized market influence.
