CNC Programmer (2nd Shift) (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, onsite; 2nd shift approximately 2:00pm–10:00pm. ITAR eligibility is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

Salary: $45.00–$60.00 per hour, with potential stock options and full-time benefits.

What you will do

• Program and produce parts for engines, vehicles, avionics, and test development using 3-axis, 5-axis, and other CNC machines.
• Develop and optimize machining programs with NX, Mastercam, HSMWorks, Fusion 360, ESPRIT, Hypermill, and related CAM software.
• Work with Heidenhain, Okuma OSP, Siemens, Fanuc, and other OEM machine controls.
• Manage digital tool libraries and tool magazines, and optimize carbide tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies.
• Program billet parts with minimal fixturing and design rapid fixture tooling as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, machinists, operations, and leadership to improve manufacturability, remove bottlenecks, and improve processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience using multiple CAM packages.
• 4+ years of experience with 5-axis mills, 5-axis mill-turns, live-tooled turret lathes, or similar equipment.
• Hands-on experience with manual and CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to rapidly learn new CAM software and manage large tool libraries.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate, with strong attention to detail and rapid execution.
• Must meet applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience setting up machine shops and recommending or evaluating capital equipment purchases.
• 4+ years of programming turbomachinery, including MAX-PAC experience.
• Python or similar programming experience.
