Senior Corporate Counsel (Fintech)

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate customer-facing commercial agreements supporting the Genius Point of Sale business across North America.
• Provide practical legal guidance on customer contracts, regulatory matters, and pre-litigation disputes.
• Partner with business leaders, internal stakeholders, and legal colleagues on commercial matters.
• Evaluate legal and business risks and develop solutions aligned with business and customer needs.
• Manage negotiations involving partner, referral, master services, statement of work, non-disclosure, and related commercial agreements.
• Lead legal department initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and service delivery.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar required.
• 3–6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably including law firm and in-house counsel experience.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer-facing commercial agreements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Strong business judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage competing priorities independently and collaboratively.

• Experience negotiating agreements in technology, financial services, fintech, or payments.
