Corporate Counsel Principal (Fintech)

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate complex commercial transactions with financial institutions for SaaS and cloud-based fintech services.
• Lead go-to-market legal work for financial technology offerings, including structuring and negotiating agreements.
• Provide pragmatic legal advice that supports business strategy while managing legal risk.
• Lead pre-litigation dispute resolution with clients, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Support regulatory compliance initiatives and the integration of acquired products, contracts, and processes.
• Conduct legal risk assessments, due diligence, and analysis of laws, statutes, and regulations.

Requirements

• J.D. degree with active membership in at least one state bar.
• 3–5 years of relevant in-house experience in a financial services or technology company is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, legal research, writing, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive complex matters to completion in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive approach, sound judgment, and ability to work independently with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
