People Operations Manager

Location: New York, United States; on-site. The role supports U.S. employment compliance and globally distributed employees.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end employee lifecycle operations, including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, manager changes, employee records, documentation, and onboarding logistics.
• Maintain BambooHR records, organizational structures, reporting lines, documentation, and audit-ready employee files.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; support leave administration, accommodations, employment verifications, immigration documentation, and HR policies.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits administration, qualifying life events, vendor relationships, and international employment operations through Deel as the EOR platform.
• Administer performance management cycles through Leapsome, including review setup, calibration support, reporting, communications, engagement surveys, and manager enablement.
• Generate People dashboards and metrics, improve HR processes, maintain SOPs, and support cross-functional People initiatives with Finance, IT, Legal, Talent Acquisition, Facilities, managers, and business leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or HR Generalist roles.
• Experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS company is preferred within the required experience background.
• Hands-on experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms.
• Experience administering performance management platforms such as Leapsome.
• Experience managing EOR platforms, preferably Deel.
• Strong understanding of U.S. employment laws and employment regulations.
• Experience supporting payroll, benefits administration, and global employee operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and discretion when handling confidential information.
• A proactive, customer-first mindset and interest in building outstanding employee experiences.
