Senior Engineer - Power Module Design

What you will do

• Lead the electrical design and simulation of Si and SiC power modules.
• Design electrical layouts and schematics and optimize switching performance.
• Perform electromagnetic field simulations to reduce parasitic effects and meet module specifications.
• Evaluate thermal performance alongside electrical design and select suitable power semiconductors, passive components, and interconnects.
• Optimize designs for efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Support prototype builds and testing, analyze results, and prepare technical documentation, simulation reports, and test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in power module design, particularly with Si and SiC technologies.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer for electrical schematics and layouts.
• Experience with SPICE, PLECS, ANSYS Q3D, ANSYS Maxwell, and ANSYS Icepak or comparable simulation tools.
• Understanding of power semiconductor devices, loss mechanisms, and reliability and quality standards for power modules.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, attention-to-detail, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
