TL;DR
Sr. Power Module Design Engineer (Power Electronics/DC/DC Converters): Defining and developing high-current-density 48V/12V/5V DC/DC power module products and system-level power management solutions for networking, optical, and industrial applications with an accent on magnetics, high-frequency converters, and power density. Focus on hands-on lab evaluation, board-level debugging, prototype demonstrations, EMI optimization, and technical documentation for new products.

What you will do

  • Define new high-current-density 48V/12V/5V DC/DC power module and IC products for networking, optical, and industrial applications.
  • Develop application reference circuits and system-level power management solutions.
  • Perform hands-on lab evaluations, system and board-level debugging, and prototype demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, field applications, TME, and other cross-functional teams on existing and new products.
  • Communicate with customers on product definition and technical support.
  • Write datasheets, application notes, design notes, and technical papers.

Requirements

  • MSEE or higher.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing switch-mode power supplies, especially power module products.
  • Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads, and frequency analyzers.
  • Proven problem-solving and hands-on debugging capabilities.
  • Experience with PCB design/layout, EMI performance optimization, and power converter firmware development.
  • Fluent English communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with high-power-density or high-current power converters.
  • Magnetics design experience, including inductors and planar transformers.
  • Experience with isolated, non-isolated, regulated, or non-regulated converter topologies.
  • Experience with high-frequency converters using advanced power FETs.
  • Experience with Simplis, Maxwell, or Icepak simulation tools.
