Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Salary: $82,300–$220,000 base salary annually

What you will do

• Design, specify, develop, and test power system architectures and requirements.
• Develop miniature power conversion and management circuits, distributed power architectures, radiation-hardened designs, battery management systems, motor controllers, switched-mode converters, and precision feedback systems.
• Optimize system designs for reduced size, weight, and power, and develop technical specifications for production.
• Analyze hardware configurations, test conformance to specifications, and identify and mitigate program-level technical risks.
• Drive solutions to complex or incomplete customer requirements and communicate status to project leadership and customers.
• Contribute to business development and proposal activities while teaching best practices to less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and printed circuit board layout.
• Experience with circuit simulation using SPICE or comparable tools, and system modeling using MATLAB, Simulink, or comparable tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
