Chief of Staff (AI/Robotics)

Location: On-site in San Mateo, California, five days a week

Salary: $160K–$190K per year

What you will do

• Maintain a real-time view of company priorities and help the CEO focus on the highest-leverage work.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives across partnerships, research and engineering, product, and operations.
• Lead ambiguous, high-impact projects such as fundraising support, partnerships, and internal initiatives from zero to one.
• Build lightweight trackers, workflows, and operating cadences that improve visibility, accountability, and execution.
• Filter inbound information and requests, prepare the CEO for key meetings, track decisions, and ensure follow-through.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships and support high-stakes communications.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a demanding, high-ownership environment such as a startup, technology company, consulting, or venture capital.
• Experience driving cross-functional initiatives in strategy and operations, business operations, product operations, program management, or founder/CEO support.
• Ability to create clarity from ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and execute end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to produce executive-ready materials and synthesize complex information.
• Strong judgment, decision-making, interpersonal skills, responsiveness, and follow-through.
• Comfort building simple systems and enthusiasm for robotics and frontier intelligence.

• Direct experience supporting a founder, CEO, or senior executive in a high-growth environment.
• Experience in AI/ML, robotics, or technical and product-driven companies.
• Experience with fundraising, partnerships, or other high-stakes external processes.
• Familiarity with product development and translating strategic priorities into execution.
