Air Import Specialist (Logistics)

Location: Fully remote from the Philippines; night shift aligned with US EST

What you will do

• Own air import shipments from pre-alert through final delivery and billing closure.
• Identify and resolve flight delays, rollovers, offloads, documentation gaps, customs holds, and cargo handling delays.
• Coordinate recovery actions with airlines, agents, brokers, co-loaders, and trucking providers.
• Validate MAWB/HAWB, invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, PODs, and other shipment documents.
• Monitor cargo arrival, free time, and warehouse status to prevent storage charges.
• Communicate solutions and next steps to clients, validate costs, update TMS milestones, and ensure accurate billing.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of hands-on air import operations experience in a freight forwarding environment.
• Strong knowledge of air freight processes, shipment documentation, customs clearance, and clearance issue resolution.
• Experience managing US-bound shipments and coordinating AMS/Air AMS and ACAS filings.
• Ability to independently resolve exceptions, manage multiple high-priority shipments, and maintain attention to detail under time pressure.
• Clear, proactive communication and strong judgment when coordinating with logistics partners.
• Experience using a TMS and availability for the US EST night shift.
