International Logistics Specialist

Location: Hybrid in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with travel to local Bethlehem sites within a 10-mile radius; limited additional travel may be required for meetings, training, audits, or collaboration.

What you will do

• Coordinate international logistics from customer order entry through final shipment and delivery.
• Prepare proforma invoices, secure and negotiate freight rates, and ensure cost-efficient, profitable shipment execution.
• Prepare and coordinate import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, AES filings, bills of lading, letters of credit, and country-specific certificates.
• Track shipments, coordinate product availability and storage with Production and Planning, and provide contingency plans for disruptions.
• Work with customers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, inspection agencies, Sales, Marketing, Production, and Planning to resolve issues and support on-time delivery.
• Assign HTS codes, assist with customs clearance, duty and tax analysis, audits, regulatory requirements, and major customer account management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, or a related field, plus 3–5 years of experience in international logistics or a related field.
• Reliable, high-speed internet connection for remote work days.
• Well-developed knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Proficiency in freight forwarding software and logistics management systems.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, customs clearance, duty and tax analysis, and international shipping documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of global trade compliance principles, including customs valuation, Incoterms, licenses and permits, country of origin, HTS classifications, duty optimization, Free Trade Agreements, export controls, and sanctions.
• Ability to communicate complex information in writing and verbally, collaborate across teams, maintain stakeholder relationships, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and relationship-management skills.
