Transportation Logistics Specialist

Location: Remote environment; must be based in Europe, with Amsterdam preferred and other EU locations considered. Must be eligible to work in the EU.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end transportation of racks, servers, and other data center equipment across European domestic, international, Taiwan-to-Europe, Europe-to-Israel, and other inbound and outbound lanes.
• Coordinate freight scheduling, carrier and forwarder selection, air freight bookings, delivery execution, shipment tracking, and resolution of delays or exceptions.
• Manage RMA/RMS shipments, reverse logistics, warehouse-to-data-center transfers, in-transit inventory, chain-of-custody records, and shipment documentation.
• Handle customs documentation, clearance, VAT, duties, customs declarations, and cross-border trade compliance for European, Taiwan-related, and Israel-related shipments.
• Coordinate with data center operations, hardware engineering, procurement, finance, security teams, OEM suppliers, carriers, forwarders, and 3PL partners.
• Forecast transportation demand, track logistics costs, establish carrier SLAs and KPIs, support reporting and dashboards, and drive routing, cost, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in transportation, freight, or logistics management, ideally in technology, data center, or hardware supply chain environments.
• Experience managing domestic European and international freight operations, including LTL/FTL, air freight, carrier and forwarder relationships, and 3PL coordination.
• Solid understanding of EU customs regulations, import/export procedures, and cross-border trade compliance within Europe and with non-EU countries.
• Hands-on experience with RMA/RMS shipment processes and reverse logistics flows.
• Familiarity with TMS platforms, Jira, or similar shipment tracking and documentation systems.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills, with high standards for accuracy and completeness.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across technical and non-technical teams in an international environment.
• Ability to operate independently in a remote environment, with a self-starter mindset.
• Fluency in English is required. Must be based in Europe and eligible to work in the EU.

Nice to have

• Experience managing shipments to or from Israel and familiarity with related customs and trade compliance requirements.
• Experience managing large, heavy, or high-value freight such as server racks and IT infrastructure equipment.
• Experience in a hyperscaler, cloud provider, or large-scale data center build-out environment.
• Experience with Asia-Pacific supply chains, particularly Taiwan-to-Europe freight lanes, including customs brokerage, import duties, and trade compliance.
• Background in supply chain analytics, reporting, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with physical security protocols for high-value hardware shipments.
• Experience working in or with logistics operations in the Netherlands, Germany, or other major locations.
• Additional European languages.
