CNC Programmer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Redondo Beach, United States. ITAR eligibility is required: U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent residency, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Salary: $45.00–$60.00 per hour

What you will do

• Program and operate machining processes for engine, vehicle, avionics, and test-development parts.
• Develop CAM programs using NX, Mastercam, HSMWorks, Fusion 360, ESPRIT, HyperMill, and other software.
• Produce hardware on 3-axis and 5-axis machines using Heidenhain, Okuma OSP, Siemens, Fanuc, and other OEM controls.
• Manage digital tool libraries and tool magazines, selecting carbide tools and adjusting speeds and feeds.
• Suggest drawing and design changes that improve manufacturability.
• Design rapid fixture tooling, program billet parts with minimal fixturing, and address production bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience with multiple CAM packages.
• 4+ years of experience with 5-axis mills, 5-axis mill-turns, live-tooled turret lathes, or similar equipment.
• Hands-on experience with manual and CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to learn new CAM software quickly and manage large tool libraries.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate, strong attention to detail, and rapid execution.
• Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements for work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience setting up machine shops and evaluating capital equipment purchases.
• 4+ years of turbomachinery programming experience, including MAX-PAC.
• Python or similar programming experience.
